FAQ
-
Do you take insurance?I’m not in-network with any insurance companies, but if your insurance offers out-of-network benefits, you may be able to submit an invoice (superbill) for partial reimbursement. Payment is due at the time of service, and I accept debit/credit cards or HSA cards. For a seamless billing experience, I use Thrizer, a secure platform that simplifies payment and out-of-network reimbursement. I'm happy to assist you in navigating this process, allowing you to focus on healing without the hassle of insurance paperwork.

What is your cancellation policy?I require 48 hours’ notice for any cancellation or reschedule; otherwise, I’ll need to charge a $150 cancellation fee to the card on file. Outside of severe illness or emergencies, though, I’ll still need to charge if you can’t give 48 hours’ notice. If I can reschedule you within the same week, I’ll happily waive the late fee, but please note that last-minute openings can be limited. Your session time is set aside just for you, so short-notice cancellations often mean I can’t offer that time to someone else. If late cancellations/no shows become a pattern (more than 6 times a year not counting holidays or emergencies), I may need to move you to “floating status.” This means I’ll book you when I have an opening rather than holding a set time each week.

Why Work with an Out-of-Network Therapist? Many clients find that working with an out-of-network provider allows them greater flexibility and privacy. When you’re not bound by a specific network, you have the freedom to choose the therapist who best aligns with your needs—whether that’s a particular style, area of expertise, or scheduling convenience. In addition, some clients value the enhanced confidentiality that comes from limiting the details shared with insurance companies. While you may pay out of pocket upfront, you could be eligible for partial reimbursement through your insurance plan, depending on your specific benefits. Ultimately, opting for an out-of-network provider can help you tailor your therapy experience to what genuinely supports your wellbeing.
