FAQ
Yes! I accept several insurance plans, I’m currently in-network with:
• Aetna • BlueCross BlueShield (not including Legacy Health plans) • Regence BlueCross BlueShield • Moda Health • Oregon Health Plan (OHP) — including: • Open Card • Trillium • HealthShare / Care Oregon • Yamhill CCO • PacificSource OHP / Medicaid
If I’m not in-network with your plan, you may still be able to use out-of-network benefits for partial reimbursement. I also offer private pay options.
Please refer to Fees and Insurance Page for more information.
I require 48 hours’ notice for any cancellation or reschedule; otherwise, I’ll need to charge a $150 cancellation fee to the card on file. Outside of severe illness or emergencies, though, I’ll still need to charge if you can’t give 48 hours’ notice. If I can reschedule you within the same week, I’ll happily waive the late fee, but please note that last-minute openings can be limited.
Your session time is set aside just for you, so short-notice cancellations often mean I can’t offer that time to someone else.
If late cancellations/no shows become a pattern (more than 5 times a year not counting holidays or emergencies), I may need to move you to “floating status.” This means I’ll book you when I have an opening rather than holding a set time each week.
Many clients find that working with an out-of-network provider allows them greater flexibility and privacy. When you’re not bound by a specific network, you have the freedom to choose the therapist who best aligns with your needs—whether that’s a particular style, area of expertise, or scheduling convenience. In addition, some clients value the enhanced confidentiality that comes from limiting the details shared with insurance companies. While you may pay out of pocket upfront, you could be eligible for partial reimbursement through your insurance plan, depending on your specific benefits. Ultimately, opting for an out-of-network provider can help you tailor your therapy experience to what genuinely supports your wellbeing.
You’ll start with a free 15-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions, and decide if we’re a good fit. You can schedule this by contacting me directly.
I have a limited number of sliding scale spots available. Please reach out to discuss current availability.
Virtual therapy sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You'll receive a link to join our session from your device prior to each appointment.
Our first full session will be a space for us to get to know each other, review the therapy process, and start discussing your goals. It’s all about setting a foundation for our work together.
Most clients start with weekly or bi-weekly sessions, and we’ll revisit your goals regularly to make sure the pace feels right for you. Long-term clients sometimes move to periodic check-ins as needed.
Please let me know if you have other questions!
